As a designer, I believe that shifts in medium open up new, body- and emotion-centered modes of interaction, as well as possibilities for cross-temporal experiences. OmMind is a bold attempt to embody this belief — we explored how spatial computing technology could bring the essence of Tibetan healing culture into users' everyday lives, offering deep relaxation amidst the stress of modern living.

Our experience draws inspiration from Tibetan cultural rituals and sacred objects, due to the tradition's profound capacity for spiritual nourishment. To inform our design, we studied how existing VR applications handle navigation, hand-based interactions, scene transitions, and levels of immersion — learning from their strategies to design for embodied presence and a smooth user experience in MR.
